Find out about the new challenging set

Halloween is coming pretty soon (only 4 months to go, it's sooner than you think!), and to greet it properly, we've launched a new set for the game called Smash.

There's a kind of gloomy feeling to it, with ghosts, graves, and the like. It's typically the sort of place where you'd find a vampire slayer...

The rules are still the same (Marc explained them in a previous post)and you can get 10 extra points when you hit the spiders. This can be interesting to know if you want to beat your friends' scores...which leads me to switch onto another topic: you can now defy your friends by sending them your challenge! Now they should trust you when you claim a record.

This new feature is stil in developpment though.

The next improvements being:
- Make challenges available for all the games
- Make it possible to send the challenge directly from the game (without having to copy/paste a link)

But for now it's very basic. You just have to try and make a pretty high score and follow the instructions at the end of the game to tell your friends.

By the way, just a quick reminder of the high scores registered so far:
Puzzle 4x4 : 31s as you can see here. You can see on the comments that no one believed me!)

Here comes the sound

We've added sound in all the brick games! Now, when bombs burst out you can hear them explode.

But you don't get just any sound, it actually depends on the skin of your game: you can hear kisses blown with Brick hearts,dynamite exploding with the Brick Dynamite skin, or even chocolate crunches with the brand new Choco Brick game!

The Pictogame Hall of Fame

After a month or so of existence, it's high time we made a sort of recap on what's happened on the website up to now, in a user point of view.
Let's do an award thingy with the following categories:
- Most viewed
- Most rated
- Top creator
- and Most recent (only kidding :p)

The award of the most viewed Pictogame goes to ....*drums rolling* :

Finally, the one you've all been waiting for, the winner of the one category that doesn't appear on pictogame.com, the top creator with a total of 175 games created so far : DJON !

Get some singing exercices

I always wanted to become a singer but I didn't (and still don't) have the voice that goes with it...plus, I always tend to forget the lyrics to the songs I want to sing (karaoke could have been be the solution but there you go). So, I decided to call it a day.

That's why I'm getting addicted to this new game we've just launched.
"Singers", that's what it's called!
I can see myself as a singer and I can get my memory some good training *I forgot to mention my tendency to forget stuff, oh hang on! I think I already mentioned it, didn't I? Something to do with lyrics if I'm not mistaken??! ;) *

You can also select your level of difficulty, so if you think you have a memory like that of an elephant (which I doubt is my case) pick up the hard level!

Embedding? finger in the nose!

- The thumbnail one enables you to embed (surprise, surprise.....) a thumbnail of your game.
Mind that you can't play with it, but when you click on it, you're immediately redirected to your game on the pictogame website.



- With the forum link, you can now post a pictogame on virtually any forum (those that use BB Code actually). The pictogame you'll see appearing is the same size as the thumbnail above.

Same thing as I mentioned in another post: to copy those links you just have to click on them and it's done!
No need to scroll or to right-click to select "copy". We all know it's very tiring, don't we?

The custom size feature has been through some adjustments as well: now you just have to inform the width of your widget, and the magic of technology reckons the appropriate height to keep the proportions of the image.
Last but not least: you can do it from the get code page too!
